Jean Dujardin and Uggie
Usually the American Academy disappoints me but this year they've made justice. "The artist" is a great film with different reading levels in a very clean and simple script. It plays with the languages and history of Cinema (and World History too) inside a fun story between a movie star and a sassy extra girl. It truly celebrates the industry.
Oh and it also have the best animal actor ever, Uggie the dog, which steals every single scene he's on. Just adorable.
I know silent movies are not for any audience but this is definitely captivating. I think everybody should give it a try...
