30.5.18

George Seurat

I was listening to "Sunday in the park with George" a lot last year.
It made me get more aware of his work at the MET this time

28.9.17

Brazilian folklore

I think I'm one of them ;)

19.4.17

Maybe next time

I should be flying to NYC right now.
About one month ago I planned a quick scape to watch "Sunday in the park with George" and spend a few days in the city visiting what I didn't had the chance last September.
I even bought a ticket for tomorrow night... And God knows I need a break after these two last weeks...
Maybe next time.

10.3.17

"Until there's nothing but sky"

And when the woman that you wanted goes
You can say to yourself, well, I give what I give
But the woman who won't wait for you knows
That however you live
There's a part of you always standing by
Mapping out the sky...

Will this musical be released as an album?

28.8.16

Can we dance upon the tables again?

Turn off the lights, hit play and close your eyes. You may cry a little but it's alright.

1.8.16

Got late to the love for Oscar Isaac train

But I'm finally here.
This song is playing in my head for more than a week. Listening t it, in the end of the day, sunset and all that stuff... man, my heart aches.
It makes me dream. And that is so dangerous...

5.2.15

Big Eyes (2014)

Wow, I loved Big Eyes! So touching and well done.
I'm so glad Tim Burton came back to a film where you can relate with the characters like Big fish. And finally without Johnny Depp! Please don't get me wrong, I love Johnny, but they needed this breakup. (Even you know that)
Waltz and Adams are excellent. Maybe the characters are not strong or powerful enough for an Oscar, but that doesn't make them any less good. I wonder if Waltz could do a shy depressed character as he can do a crazy charismatic one...
I confess I have never heard of Walter and Margaret Keane before and I feel quite ignorant. I've spent the rest of the night on Google and her paintings are great. Hope I can get one someday.

1.2.15

My life without me (2003)

Lee: Hey.
Ann: Hi.
Lee: My body hurt thinking you weren't gonna come.
Ann: I wasn't gonna come.
Lee: Well, I'm glad you did.

13.1.15

Song for tonight (and maybe for the whole week)

Did I post this before? Just can't remember...
Some songs are there in our playlists just waiting for the right moment, the right mood, the right night.. and so it came

I don't want to sleep.

15.9.14

I love Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche

There's no special reason for this. I just felt like saying it
And that first photo is so so beautiful...
It would be wonderful to see them together again in another film.

16.3.14

Just in case you haven't watched it yet

I'm always pro kiss, pda, romance, love...

8.3.14

International Women's Day

Las Dos Fridas, by Frida Kahlo

I know this painting is about her broken marriage, but we can use the image to go further on the idea of being torn, on how being a woman is not one whole defined experience. If it ever was once, culture and society are making more and more difficult for us to reunite our sense of integrity again.

20.2.14

Frost/Bernal

All the 5 of you that come here frequently know I'm a little obsessed.
So, continuing the GGB Week, I was very surprised to discover that this was the last interview of David Frost.
Since I'm terrified about the idea of "the end" of anything, it would be extremely touching to me if I were the last interviewed of someone, even more of someone with the magnitude of Frost.
I hope you enjoy it.

18.2.14

News from Mr. Dulli

First I had a new EP and the announcement of Paul Thomas Saunders first full album. Now Afghan Whigs are promising one too, after 16 years... and maybe something more than "Invisible" from u2. The musical prospect for 2014 is good.

28.1.14

I was looking for inspiration...

so I did one new search for my personal muse: Daniel Brühl.

*sigh*

OK, let's go study now...

Wishing a great week to us all.

20.1.14

Her

I don't know if I'll manage to watch this film, since I feel like crying just with the trailer...
There's a chance this one will finally overcome Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as my favorite love story.
