a surprise, a sadness, an invitation

I was surprised to see our beautiful beach on The New York Times. There's no fashion or glamour around, our hype is the opposite of that. It's the absence of hype.  I can not see new yorkers wishing for all the peace, spending a whole day drinking beer on the water under the sun doing nothing... but many Americans come to visit every year, it's true.

I love Alter do chão.

If you want to see what Amazon is about, you better do it before is too late. We will disappear pretty soon.

And Alter is hotter and prettier from September to January.

PS: Nobody ever offered saúvas to me.

Hey, Saint Patrick

I'm not gonna complain anymore.
We're cool, bro.

Hey Canada,

Welcome! How were you today?

I finally watched La La Land

And we definitely need magic in our lives.
And love is pure magic.

(Maybe I should add a Ryan Gosling tag on this blog)

"Until there's nothing but sky"

And when the woman that you wanted goes
You can say to yourself, well, I give what I give
But the woman who won't wait for you knows
That however you live
There's a part of you always standing by
Mapping out the sky...

Will this musical be released as an album?

Those days

Reality is such hard place to be
Some days, if wasn't for music, I wouldn't breath

I love New Order

I just want to share that.
This video made me super curious about Lust and sound, but also made me miss Control and Goodbye Lenin...

Blue Jay (2016)

Every once and a while I have this daydream that at some point in my life I will write a film. Or a play. A small and very independent piece about a relationship.
After I watched Blue Jay I believe there's no reason to do it anymore. The story is a bit different from what I was planning to write but the main subject and (most important) the feeling are there as I thought it should be done.
It is a Netflix production (or distribution? I'm not sure) and I most deeply reccomend you to watch it. I did it last year, a few days before being off for holidays and as soon the film was over I played it again.

Thank you, Mark Duplass, for such a honest and delicate way to tell that story.

New year's day

Is an empty apartment still a home?
Will it ever not be?
How many times will I say goodbye to everything I keep with me?

For the first time in many years I feel new.
